Claire Walchli’s chronic pain and physical issues naturally lead her into nutrition and the complimentary health field in 1974 for her own health and education. While a member of Wisconsin Athletic Club in Wauwatosa, she enrolled in traditional form Tai Chi classes in 1999. In 2000, the Club hired a certified instructor, Patricia C. Culotti to teach a new simplified program called Tai Chi Fundamentals founded by Tricia Yu, based out of the Tai Chi Center (http://www.taichihealth.com/) in Madison, Wi.

Tai Chi Fundamentals is a moving meditation and a perfect exercise. Done standing, sitting or visualizing, it brings us back to the basic postures and movements: relieving pain, releasing energy and building strength and balance of body, mind and spirit. The program is designed to be taught by certified instructors.

Claire , convinced of its healthful aspects, is now a third level certified instructor in the program and has over six years continuing training with Pat Culotti. She has trained with Grandmaster Wm. C.C. Chen, NYC, NY; Master Benjamin Pang Jeng Lo, San Francisco, CA; and Kim Kanzelburger, Center States, T’ai Chi Ch’uan Assoc., Kansas City, MO.

The Tai Chi Fundamentals program has been chosen by physicians as a beneficial referral to patients. Claire works with Complimentary Healthcare providers demonstrating at local wellness fairs & senior communities, and the Fibromialgia Centers of Milwaukee sharing the health benefits with the public. Her co-teaching with Pat at the Wisconsin Athletic Club in Wauwatosa continues.

Now, Claire is thrilled to be part of the team of certified and licensed practitioners at Avolen Wellness Center in Oconomowoc. This location will give Claire an appropriate environment to help her clients balance their body, mind and spirit.
